
BELLEVILLE — A patron is suing Dollar Tree Stores Inc. and H2 Holdings LLC, retail store operators, alleging that insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries.
Doris M. Balbridge of Jefferson County filed a complaint on Nov. 21 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against the defendants, alleging that she was hurt after being directed to use a defective ramp as she exited the store.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 13, 2015, she was a guest at the defendants' store in the City of Mount Vernon, and that she fell due a defective ramp and sustained severe injuries. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly allowing a dangerous condition and failing to warn about it.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensation in an amount exceeding $50,000, plus costs of this suit and any other relief as the court deems just and equitable. She is represented by Gary A. Mack of Law Offices of Gary A. Mack PC in Belleville.
