A New Baden couple is suing an O'Fallon woman, alleging negligence over injuries resulting from a head-on collision with the defendant's vehicle.
John Beck and Joyce Beck filed a lawsuit Nov. 6 in St. Clair County District Court against Gabriella Banuelos of O'Fallon, alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, on Dec. 15, 2014, John Beck was driving his vehicle southbound on Radio Range Road in St. Clair Township, while Joyce Beck was a passenger. The suit says Banuelos was driving northbound along the same road when she drove her vehicle across the center of the roadway, striking the plaintiffs' vehicle.
As a result, the suit alleges the plaintiffs sustained serious injuries, expenses for medical treatment, disability, loss of a normal life, and pain and suffering.
The Becks seek damages of $50,000 each, plus court costs and attorney fees. They are represented by attorney David C. Nelson, of Nelson & Nelson Attorneys at Law in Belleville.
