BELLEVILLE — A consulting firm is suing East St. Louis Housing Authority, alleging breach of agreement.

Community Development Consultants filed a complaint on Dec. 10 in St. Clair County Circuit Court against the defendant, alleging that the housing authority failed to perform its contractual obligations.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that between Oct. 7, 2010 and February 2015, it has performed work and rendered services to the defendant amounting to $1,761,459.80 in value, and that the balance amount of $45,531.20 remains due and owing. The plaintiff holds East St. Louis Housing Authority responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to make payment for the remaining account balance.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks relief in conformity with this complaint and other just and proper relief. He is represented by Edward J. Blake Jr. of Blake Behme Law Group PC in Belleville.
