ST. CLAIR COUNTY—A woman is suing a development and construction company following the death of her husband, alleging that the company caused his death through negligence.
Heather Morgan filed a complaint on Dec. 17 in the Circuit Court of St. Clair County against MTS Development Group LLC, alleging the wrongful death of her husband.
While working as a subcontractor for MTS Group on June 25, 2015, Joshua Morgan was placing house wrap on a home under construction. The home was close to power lines, which Joshua did not know were uninsulated. Joshua was severely electrocuted, causing him to fall from his ladder. His wife eventually made the decision to remove him from life support.
Heather Morgan is seeking compensation for damages suffered and legal fees incurred. She is represented by Brady M. McAninch of Hipskind and McAninch in Belleville.
